The body in motion is a form of poetry. So a portrait of an artist is indeed a form of art reproducing art. The artist-creator of the portrait , while important, is not central to the experience of the art piece. The viewer is the missing variable. What the viewer brings to the art form is always unique, always individualized. No two experiences are ever the same. Some will laugh; some will cry; some will reminisce; some will reflect. Therein lies the magic.
